SkyTruth’s latest report is sparking national and international attention in the wake of COP30 in Brazil. Among the findings: 179 oil slicks detected since 2017, a 49% rise in oil production, and an 81% surge in vessel traffic – evidence of chronic offshore pollution that threatens some of the world’s most biodiverse waters off the Brazilian coast.
